Appel à communication “the Walailak Journal of Asian Studies”
The first issue of the Walailak Journal of Asian Studies is close to publication, and it will have an “education in Asia” theme. Four of the first five articles will deal with Thailand and/or Cambodia.
The journal welcomes submissions of high quality manuscripts on all aspects of Asian Studies (especially the humanities and the social sciences), with “Asia” defined to include, East, Southeast, South, Central, and Southwest Asia (the latter is better known as the Middle East), as well as trans-national, inter-regional, and/or “Asia in diaspora” topics.
Submissions should be of a length that is normal for scholarly journal articles and should use the author-date referencing system of the Chicago Manual of Style, 16th edition (see summary at http://www. chicagomanualofstyle.org/ tools_citationguide.html). Enquiries contact Dr. Edwin Zehner, Editor, at zehner1234@aol.com or ezehner1@gmail.com.
Submissions should be sent to our journal’s new email address of wuasianjournal@gmail.com as an attached file that can be opened in Microsoft Word. To see the Journal’s Facebook Page, go to https://www.facebook.com/WalailakJournalAsianStudies/?fref=nf. The Journal’s new website is under construction and will be announced soon.
I request that TLC colleagues please help spread this message to colleagues and to appropriate scholarly email lists such as H-Asia. Not only will you be assisting the general scholarly community, but you will be helping to strength the “scholarly atmosphere” of a rising educational institution here in Southeast Asia. Thank you.
